Arbekovsky forest - early 2024

Winter forest. January 3, 24. Frost -18 °C.The first frost drove all the forest dwellers closer to the feeders.The current near the Dalny spring was chosen as the place of observation.There in the lowland (in a ravine), the feeders are protected from gusts of wind and many birds often gather.So this time I watched there: Great tits, common lapis lazuli, pipits, nuthatches, large and medium-sized woodpecker, black-headed nut.All observations with coordinates were recorded in the iNaturalist biodiversity database, and therefore in the 2024 projects: the regional ornithological tournament "Big Year" in Sursky Krai and the "Atlas of Birds of Penza and the region" - bird monitoring in the Penza region. The projects are implemented by the Phenological Commission of the Penza regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society.And now some pictures on the topic:
