The lapwing is one of the most common waders in our area, which arrives among the first, and the birds that have nested leave very early as well - in July. The young birds stay until September. In spring, they appear as soon as the edges of the roads thaw. The bird is completely harmless and defenseless, with its only salvation being the cry of a crying child and agile flight, and for the chicks - protective coloring and freezing in place.
