Сова на заказ!

В поисках новых впечатлений и диковинных птиц в июне мы отправились на край нашей бескрайней Родины – в Приморье.
Увидеть любую сову в поездках – это всегда за счастье! Но, если честно, об этой сове я тогда даже не мечтал. 
Поздно вечером наша группа приехала на место ночлега – кордон одного из старейших заповедников России – «Кедровая Падь». Пока участники расселялись по уютным номерам, я разговорился с местным научным сотрудником, который занимается изучением дальневосточных леопардов.
В ходе беседы мы обсудили маршрут и птиц, которых теоретически можно тут встретить. Ну и под занавес разговора я упомянул о совах, на что получил ответ о гнездовании двух видов: ошейниковой совке и иглоногой совы. Если о чисто теоретической встрече с первой я еще как-то подразумевал, то о гнездовании второй – нет. С удивлением я переспросил еще раз о иглоногой сове и тут же, как по заказу, мы услышали ее голос. Бросив разбор вещей и схватив фотоаппараты, мы рванули в ночной лес. Метрах в 500 от кордона и был обнаружен этот токующий самец!
